Check your phone
Most phones from 2019 onwards support eSIM — iPhone XS or newer, Galaxy S20+, Pixel 3+. Use any provider’s free IMEI checker to confirm.

Pick a plan
Use our plan finder or a destination guide, then buy from the provider’s site. You will receive a QR code or an install link by email.

Scan and install
On iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → scan the QR code. On Android: Settings → Network → Add eSIM. It takes about a minute.

Arrive connected
Enable data roaming for the eSIM line (it is prepaid, so there are no roaming fees) and disable your home SIM’s roaming. Done.

Yes. Phones with dual-SIM support run your physical home SIM and a travel eSIM at the same time — your home number keeps working for calls and SMS while the eSIM provides data. Turn off your home SIM’s data roaming to avoid charges.
For most travellers, yes: eSIMs are cheaper than pocket Wi-Fi, need no airport queue or passport registration, and activate within minutes. Physical SIMs still make sense for very old phones or when you need a local phone number.
